Spotify appears to be down at the moment, with users across social media having started reporting that the app and website aren’t working over the last hour or so. It’s not working for those of us at The Verge who have tried, either.
Downdetector shows a spike in the number of reports about problems with the music streaming service that started at about 10:40AM ET. Just after noon ET, Spotify acknowledged the issue.
A post on its community site says:
We’ve been getting some reports that Spotify is down across platforms. The Support Site looks affected as well.
We’re currently aware of the situation and the relevant teams are working on it.
We’re aware of some issues right now and are checking them out!
